St. Joseph Elementary School is located in the town of Simcoe in beautiful Norfolk County, Ontario. The Grade 3 class picked Big Yellow Taxi because of its message of not taking nature’s beauty for granted. The kids were very clear that they wanted to record the song in the forest behind the school. The class started rehearsing the first week of September. They enjoyed the process from start to finish and made it their own by creating the groove of the song and the vocal arrangement. The icing on the cake was the video recording itself. The Grade 3 class extends a big thank you to Tyrone at Cultivate Music for capturing this performance. Please note that no tree was harmed in the making of this film.
